A Highly Experienced Skater & Coach for All Levels | Team GB & Skateboard GB Selected

I am a very passionate skateboarder and coach. I am a sponsored skateboarder and I am affiliated with the national governing body for skateboarding in the Olympics, Skateboard GB.

I have had experience in this sport traveling the world and discovering lots of different avenues. After facing numerous injuries throughout my journey of learning, I decided to dedicate myself to helping people learn in a safe way.

Skateboarding was always my number one hobby and I always aspired to adapt it into my career. I have a lot of goals with skateboard coaching and I aim to regulate it around a number of areas. Having started skateboard coaching in 2019, I have picked up a range of skills and techniques that I’ve applied into my coaching practice. I am a very intrigued coach and see myself as much of a learner as the skateboarder I’m teaching.

I love to learn as much as possible about the student so I can learn how to give them the best short/long term goals to suit their style of learning. I am very patient with my students and allow time for them to build trust and feel comfortable with me.

I am versatile with all ages and genders and I am immersed in the task of growing my ability to adapt to varying subjects. I am very mindful of how to keep skateboarders engaged in my sessions and promote autonomy to push people towards the style of skateboarding that resonates with them the most. I am a very good listener and love to take the time to hear people’s vision with their skateboarding journey.

I’ve been skating for 4 years, I was selected for last year's skateboard gb hub and have competed at national champs. I want to coach because of how much skating has helped me with my own mental health, I want to share that with others.

Skating helps so much with self worth and confidence and I want to be a part of sharing that. I love coaching because I get to see kids reach goals they never thought they would achieve as well as improving health and fitness. There’s something magical about a kid starting off with “I can’t” and ending a session passing that initial goal. I’m great with kids and love creating excitement and passion for the thing I also love.

I have had a lot of experience working in facilities which focus on supporting children and learning about each individual. My main goal with skateboarding is to have fun and do it as much as is physically possible. I look to take skateboard coaching further and broadening my experience with different age demographics.

I believe I can bring more of a female role model to the business and look to inspire a lot more females to feel included in the skatepark with it being a male dominated sport for so long. I am hoping to inspire older generations of females as well because it can be so good for your mental stability and keep you more resilient in life.

There have always been skateboards around the house so I've been rolling round since before I could walk but never fully pushed myself to progress much more than dropping in, rolling round and doing ollies and a couple other more basic tricks.

I'd had a couple years off in late primary school then started skating consistently in 2012 with the benefits of being able to drop in, rock fakie, heelflip, shuv and front 180 I want to coach because if I see someone struggling with a trick I always want to give them pointers if I can, so thought I might as well get money for it. I definitely get stoked when I coach someone into landing a trick.

I think skate coaching suits me because I am a hyper analyst. I like to understand how and why everything works, which comes in really handy for skating and coaching. I am good at getting students hyped to skate, even when they start the lesson in a bad mood and not keen to skate. So far I have gotten everyone who couldn't even stand on the board on concrete to be pushing by themselves in a lesson.

I like to make sure that each student comes out of every lesson at least a slightly better skater than before.

Skateboarding has had such a positive impact on my life growing up and has taught me so much. I feel it has the potential to have a positive impact on anyone. I want to try and show people that potential. Coaching is an incredibly rewarding experience.

Not only to see the progression but also to share the stoke when someone breaks down the barrier of what they think they are capable of. This is what separates extreme sports from all other sports and why the culture is so strong.

I am a very patient coach. I take time to understand the skill level of the skateboarder I’m teaching so I can adapt my teaching accordingly. It is good to take time to listen to my students so I can understand their learning style.

I am determined to take skateboarders to the next level of their skateboarding in and out of coaching hours. It is extraordinary watching skateboarders learn new skills and I always get excited to watch them progress. Once I have become familiar with the individual, I take the time to produce unique coaching plans for their sessions.
